SEA Aquarium + Sherilyn's 21st

After 3 hours of queuing, we FINALLY got into the SEA Aquarium! It was our second attempt to enter the SEA Aquarium despite the long queue.

After the visit to SEA Aquarium, we had a quick dinner at the Food Republic before I rushed off to attend Sherilyn's 21st at Bukit Gombak. As her birthday theme was Floral, Blue/Green. I managed to change my clothes at Vivocity before setting off to her party. Collected my TCL sandals at Miyoc@JCube while on my way to her condo. I managed to reach her condo in time for photo-taking after I lost my way somehow.

Celebrated Si Lin's 21st at Antoinette as birthday girl wanted to try the food and pastries. We went to the outlet at Mandarin Gallery.

The outlet at Mandarin Gallery was in Parisian setting while being cosy & comfortable for small groups of gathering. Their prices for their main courses were slightly above average. Our orders were taken rather promptly and it wasn't long before our food arrived.



Hui Yan & I shared the Gnocchi Carbonara ($18.50++) but sadly they ran out of gnocchi so they substituted spaghetti for us instead. A little disappointed though. Cheered up a little when it arrived on my table as it looked good! The egg was poached with runny yolk. There were also sauteed strips of bacon which complemented it in whole. Good for sharing!
The birthday girl also had the same as us too (:



Wei Jie had Marinara ($24++) , which was somewhat like seafood spaghetti. Didn't get to try it so I don't know if it tasted as good as it looked.

Hui Yan & I also shared a set of blueberry pancakes ($10++). It was fluffy & wasn't too sweet. I may want to try other pancakes/crepes on my next visit in future!

We had a hard time selecting desserts from the menu as most of them sounded rather tasty. Finally decided on:
Nougatine ($9++) - praline ice cream with hazelnut nougatine, salty caramel and caramelized filo pastry
Saint honoré l'amour ($8.50++) - choux pastry, rose petal cream, strawberry compote, fresh raspberry, fresh rose petal, almond tart, rose petal glaze.

No picture of WJ because he proclaimed that he was the photographer of the night. Overall, it was a fun experience dining at Antoinette with my uni friends!

little (early) 21st birthday dinner

Wina invited Xiang & me to her birthday dinner at Town Restaurant & Bar, Fullerton Hotel. It was my first visit there so naturally I was overwhelmed & looking forward to it!



The food was super nice that I had no time to take pictures of them! (: Here are some of my favourites - smoked salmon, prawns, scallops & mussels. The oysters tasted rather fishy to me so I didn't dare to try another. Also, the desserts served there,especially the creme brulee, were quite nice! Xiang even complimented that the chocolate ice cream was rich & smooth.

Ambience was great. Food was great. Company was great. It was indeed a lovely cosy dinner for our dear Edwina. Being able to mingle around with her friends & relatives, she looked tired but happy. Hugs! Happy Birthday (:

celebrated YK's 21st on Labour Day at Coasta Sands Resort G-6. He firmly declined any presence of cake or decorations. so I bought balloons instead ;)

Celebrated his birthday on the actual day at Sushi Tei with his family. To top that off, Yik Jiun, Henry & Sis surprised him with a mini power ranger cake from Polar. lol

EXAMS came and went. Heaved a sigh of relief that everything was over, even though I fared badly.


Had only a few days to spend time with YK before he goes overseas for vacation. We went WWWet on Sunday as the weather is increasingly becoming unbearable these days & also because we had free tickets. ;)


End result of spending the whole day under the Sun? Sun-burnt.



The 5 of us celebrated dad's birthday at home with a feast on Monday.

I turned 21 last saturday. spent a great time with my family, yk, friends & relatives at Aranda. It was a memorable & meaningful event indeed. Thank you for those who helped in some way or another. (:

Last day of 2010. It was spent carrying out the surprise for Qinning on her 21st birthday at Tampines, then to Cathay to watch Gulliver's Travels, then to Jiawen's house for dinner and countdown. Double popcorn deals for the movie & zichar + honey baked chickens for dinner (:

I was reading the Sunday Times when the news reported that many couples (i forgot the number) registered their marriages today.

Suddenly I thought of the question that he asked me last week, "do you believe in getting married on these so-called special dates?" Haha. Guessed what I replied him? ;) Ok, more about this topic another time.

Anyway, this weekend was rather entertaining.

Friday night was spent with sr peeps at Sentosa for JW's birthday. Paid the entrance fee of $5 to visit the Universal Studio! (: sadly, we didn't get to watch the fireworks. But we went Wavehouse for dinner. Food was good, ambience was better, the company I had was the best!







Saturday night was Geraldine's 21st birthday celebration at Aranda. Had a good time catching up with friends while munching on the salmon. Loved the balloons! (:


Today was swimming time for my sis, yk & i. Had LJS for brunch. Fattening, I know. Will try to control my diet these days.

Now, I'm looking forward for the next weekend. Fight on!

attended Kai Vearn's 21st birthday party last Saturday with yk. Took a cab to mount emily but eventually I got carsick because the taxi kept going in circles as the uncle couldn't find the place :( luckily we reached before I really turned green.

Saw RS and company just after we alighted. Chatted for awhile before wishing the birthday man, who was busying entertaining his guests. Left the party slightly after 11pm & yk sent me home before heading to DXO to meet henry and company. Wanted to join them but I had driving the next morning.

that's what TL said when we met up yesterday for his advanced 21st birthday celebration at Tampines. this lucky guy received 21 presents from xiang, jw and me! haha.
