December

With just few hours more to the last day of 2012, I thought I would just post some thoughts & pictures for the whole of December.

December was a rollercoaster ride for me, experienced a whirlpool of emotions. But I have faith.

So it was a rather busy month of meetups & bonding with friends & loved ones, despite having to cope with lessons. 

Ann & Joshua's Wedding

It was my first time attending a friend's wedding dinner! It was very sweet & heartwarming to see her walking down the aisle holding her husband's hand, smiling & looking radiant. I attended it with Valerie, whom I hadn't seen for ages. Although it was rather awkward to be seated with 8 strangers, but well I must say interesting things do happen now & then.

Advanced X'mas exchange with CPF buddies
Dinner at Ichiban Boshi with the 5 of them. My partner for the Santa gift exchange was Sherilyn! We didn't know what to get for each other, before she introduced me to this satchel that looked nice (: So we ended up buying for each other - one in mint, one in purple. Sadly it didn't arrive in time for our meetup so we each bought a small gift for our meetup. Long conversations with more matured topics were refreshing for a change.

Christmas Eve (part 1)

Met up with Shu Ling, Hui Ting & Stephanie for Sushi Tei. Got a cosy booth at 2nd level of Tampines1 outlet. Gift exchange round 2 for the year (: Ordered my favourite Chashu Tonkatsu ramen. Dessert at Udders on Stephanie's treat. Supposed to be brunch but she was late so we ended up with lunch instead. Rushed home for a fresh change to get ready to go out again.

Christmas Eve (part 2)

Dinner at seemed-to-be-our-usual-hunt with YK. Same as last year. Quiet, simple & warmth. Walked to Marine Parade for a change, chilled at McCafe before heading home. Enjoyed taking bus with him. Felt like those days in SRJC again.

Family bonding time! Watched Jackie Chan's last action movie - CZ12. It was awesome! Really worth the $ to watch on P.H. Dinner at Din Tai Fung, ordered our favourite dishes. Sis & I bought new pillows for parents as Christmas gifts from the Isetan sale.

Boxing Day

My dear friend is back from UK! Met up with her over brunch at Kith Cafe at Park Mall. Had so much to tell her. We went Daiso for some little shopping. After that was dessert time at Plaza Sing basement. Went Bugis for another round of shopping with Sis. Dinner at Coffee Bean with hazelnut latte as energy boost.

Time for Dessert

Inspired to make strawberry cheesecake after looking at those recipes online, Sis & I decided to roll up our sleeves to try. Impromptu right? It turned out nice, except the biscuit base which needed a little more melted butter. Received praises from those who ate, made me feel so happy! Shall make a tastier one next time ^^
